High West Barrel Select Label Design

After redesigning most of High West’s product packaging, the Team wanted us to tackle new labels for their special barrel select whiskeys for 2023 and beyond. A tedious label journey ending with over 28 mechanical files for print production, this special series stayed close-to-home within the Core and Limited Release realms, yet different enough to showcase their rarity. An inverted label look gives them a bold presence. The barrel spill gives a special nod back to prohibition while the whiskey puddle reflects the iconic mountainscape of the Wasatch peaks in Utah, where these exceptional blends are made. A dark charcoal background with light grey content gives the design strong contrast, standing out on shelf. Specialty print accents like blind embossing and copper foil elevate this product line beyond High West’s standard-tier whiskeys representative of the unique blends.
